How To Apply: I-START Application Information

Applications for the 2012-13 school year are available on the following link: https://www.nycteachingfellows.org/misc/application/default.asp?app_type=2

Application Deadline: March 12, 2012.

Please note that as a candidate for the I-START Teacher Residency, you will be completing the New York City Teaching Fellows (NYCTF) application process.  It is important that you start the online application through the link on this site, and not through the NYCTF website.

***If you have already applied to NYTF and would like to apply to I-START, please contact the NYTF office at Fellows@schools.nyc.gov and notify them of your interest in I-START. ***

When you start the online application through the link above, you will be given the option to opt out of consideration for NYCTF’s alternative certification program if you are only interested in I-START.  If you do not opt out, you will be considered for both programs.  Once you start your application, you may receive communications from the NYCTF office about the status of your application and if you are invited to interview, they will reach out to you directly.  If you are being considered for both programs, you will receive separate emails from I-START and NYCTF about your standing in their respective programs only after you have completed the second round interview.
